ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment confirmed on Wednesday appointment of three additional judges to the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) had recommended three names for their appointment as additional judges of the PHC. Arshad Ali, Muhammad Nasir Mehfooz and Shakeel Ahmad were recommended by the JCP for their appointment to the PHC. The meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment was held at the Parliament House with Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi in the chair. Present at the meeting were senators Raja M ZafarulHaq, Farooq H Naek, Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, Ch Mahmood Bashir Virk and Muhammad Arshad Khan Leghari.
