ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said if there would be a deadlock on the issue of Panama leaks, then opposition would have no option except coming on the roads.

Talking to a group of journalists at his residence in Banni Gala on Tuesday, Khan said that lie told in the assemblies of Pakistan, if this happens in some other country, they would take resignation from entire assembly within hours.

“If the name of Mian Nawaz Sharif would be excluded from ToRs, then he would again be tangled. Actually PM made the kindness to the opposition by telling a lie in the assembly of making company in 2005. During the hearing of the case, he accepted the ownership of the companies in a court of law at London”, he maintained.

He said that PML-N is keeping Khawaja Asif just to blackmail people.

Khan was of the view that PPP was the only party which had deep roots in the people but it is the matter of sorrow that two persons took it to the ditch of destruction. Now Bilawal is trying to put life in it but he would have to cover an extra mile for the purpose, he added.

He said that PML-N has neither any national party nor it has any election manifesto. If they had been a vision, then they first of all elect new person at the slot of prime minister in the absence of Nawaz Sharif.

Imran said that though the corruption has smashed up the roots of the country but God has given a lot of talent to its people. “If we would have rulers who seriously think about the country with sincerity, I guarantee that our name would be among few countries of the world”, he added.

He said that the rulers are plundering the national wealth in the name of orange train, metro bus and motorways and on the other hand some 20 million children are out of school, who will think about them.

He said it is a fact that the cleanliness would be begin from the top to bottom to eradicate the corruption otherwise the country would have to face this menace.

Responding to a question regarding upcoming budget, he said that the budget is just jugglery of figures. The rulers cannot go even a step without the dictation of IMF. It is the biggest tragedy that the poor is becoming poorest and the wealth of the rich is multiplying leaps and bound, he added.

He was of the view that ruthless accountability is the only guarantee for leading the country towards honourable destination. If the political parties would lose this opportunity then they will not be able to show their faces to the nation again.

He said that Panama leaks is not the invention of Imran Khan but it came from outside. “The name of Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan is not in the Panama leaks. I offer myself for accountability but Prime Minister might not be given exemption. Now the circle around him is becoming tight with every passing day”, Khan opined.

“Once we resolve the issue of Panama leaks then we would hold intra-party elections. We would need only three weeks for this purpose”, he said, adding the top leadership of PTI has not interfered in the allotting party tickets for the elections of AJK.

“I accept that the people of Rawalpindi gave me votes but I could not give enough time to them. It is sure that the people of my constituency would never feel embarrassment as they gave vote to me not any culprit. Hanif Abbasi has not any value as he was himself involved in the ephedrine case”, Chairman PTI added.

He said if God would give an opportunity to serve the nation he will not let go the plunderers but he will place out the wealth from their stomach by putting fingers into their throats.
