Police official gunned down in Quetta

QUETTA: A police sub-inspector was gunned down by armed assailants on Samungli Road in Quetta on Wednesday.

Sub-inspector Mukhtiar Ahmed was going to duty when armed men turned up on motorcycle and opened fire on him, leaving him fatally injured and fled the scene. The injured sub-inspector was rushed to a local hospital from where he was referred to the CMH Quetta, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Doctors said that several bullets had hit the police official in the head. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
