At least 12 affected by dengue in Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: Atleast 12 people have been admitted to a hospital in Rawalpindi after they were confirmed of having dengue virus on Thursday.

Over 3000 people were affected by the dengue virus last year whereas 12 people have lost their lives to the disease in the twin cities, meanwhile separate dengue wards have started to function in both the cities, reported a private news channel.

A patient named Sajid is being treated in Rawalpindi’s Benazir Hospital whereas Shahid and Nasir are admitted in Holy Family Hospital. Moreover, separate dengue wards have started to function in all the three government hospitals of Rawalpindi alongwith PIMS and Poly Clinic Hospital in Islamabad.
