UVAS, Engro sign MoU to strengthen industrial academia linkages

LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and Engro Food Limited Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), for strengthening industrial academia links. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Chief Executive Officer Engro Food Limited Pakistan Babur Sultan signed the MoU at a ceremony held at City Campus (UVAS) Lahore while faculty members Prof Dr Habib-ur Rehman, Prof Dr Aleem Bhatti and Dr Muhammad Nasir were also present on the occasion. Under the MoU, science-based links between academia and industry offers advantages to both parties and helps address challenges and create opportunities for the well-being of society. The purpose of the MoU was to develop mutual beneficial relationships to provide financial and technical assistance to students in terms of merit-based scholarships or gold medals for position holders, as well as industrial internship to utilise UVAS technical capabilities in product innovation and improvement.
