ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has given lawyers seven days to review a forensic report filed by NADRA in connection with the verification of votes in NA-110, the constituency of Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. The court directed the parties concerned to file their objections on the forensic report during the next hearing.
When a three-member SC bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali took up the case for hearing on Friday, NADRA filed a detailed forensic report on how the votes were counted in the constituency.
Khawaja Asif was elected MNA from NA 110 constituency during the general election 2013. He has been challenged by Usman Dar of the PTI. On Dar’s plea, the SC has ordered the NADRA for verification of votes in the constituency.
