ISLAMABAD: The government has allocated more than Rs 2.56 billion for 26 projects of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD).
According to budget documents announced by Finance Minister Ishaq dar in National Assembly on Friday, over Rs 751 million funds have been earmarked for four projects of CDA in the upcoming budget for financial year 2016-17. In this perspective against three ongoing projects over Rs 207.4 million have been allocated for construction of mosque in Pakistan Secretariat, Rs 500 million for construction of suits for members of Parliament and 500 servant quarters and Rs 23.6 million for security of Parliament House. Rs 20 million have been allocated for one new project.
Over Rs 7.17 billion have been allocated for 10 projects of health in upcoming budget for the financial year 2016-17. Against three ongoing projects funds amounting to Rs 7 million have been allocated for construction of centre for haematology disorder in PIMS, Rs 67.7 million for construction of breast cancer centre in PIMS, Rs 100 million for safe blood transfusion service project.
Against seven new projects, Rs 200 million have been earmarked for construction of neuro science centre in PIMS, Rs 15 million for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University PIMS disposal medical waste, Rs 100 million for expansion in Federal Government Services Hospital (Polyclinic), Rs 100 million for up-gradation of modern endoscopy in PIMS, Rs 59.7 million for up-gradation of radiology department of children hospital PIMS and Rs 59.7 million for up-gradation of X-Ray machines in radiology department Islamabad.
