Author: Daily Times

Sir: Governmental schools education is being demolished rapidly in the country. Most of the students would like to leave the education sector in governmental schools. It was unfortunate that the improvement in the education sector as claimed in the government was not visible despite the spending of billions of rupees during the last couple of years.

However, immense number of children are out-of-school in the country at around 25 million and 22 percent of them were in KP.But the government representatives claimed that around Rs22 billion had been spent on the provision of missing facilities including, boundary walls, electricity, water, washrooms and furniture to schools which is giving threaten to get good quality education.

Moreover, most of students are being compelled to leave school due to worst facilities of governmental school. But 10 percent government schools were without boundary walls; 35 percent schools were without electricity; 25 percent were without potable water and 11 percent were without washrooms. The government who are spending more money of other project but they are not considering their fundamental rights which is beneficial for the country. But it was alarming that despite spending of such a huge sum of money on education sector in government schools had declined.

The government should pass the bill of government schools which protect our upcoming generation and they get good quality of education as soon as possible.
