LAHORE: The Convocation of School of Health Sciences, Fatima Memorial System, was held at a local hotel on Saturday. The School of Health Sciences at Fatima Memorial System incorporates the graduates from FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences and Saida Waheed FMH College of Nursing.

The convocation was commemorated to honour 90 medical graduates, 27 dental graduates, 86 Allied Health Science graduates and 51 Nursing graduates. The graduates achieved a total of 14 Positions and 10 distinctions from the University of Health Sciences. Their degrees were conferred by the Chief Guest, Maj. Gen (R) Prof. Muhammad Aslam, who also holds the position of the Vice-Chancellor at the University of Health Sciences.

To date, as many as 775 MBBS, 288 BDS, 285 Allied Health Sciences, and 431 nursing students have graduated from the Fatima Memorial System. The students have achieved a total 162 University of Health Sciences Positions and 880 University of Health distinctions, thus far. On this occasion, Chairman, Board of Management, FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, Tariq Rehman; Guest of Honor and Motivational Speaker, Raheela Ahmad; Dean, School of Health Sciences, Fatima Memorial System, Prof. Rakhshanda Rehman; Principal, FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, Prof. Jamshed Nasir; Principal, FMH College of Dentistry, Prof. Nazia Yazdanie; and Vice Principal, FMH College of Dentistry, Professor Abid Ashar in addition to faculty members and the graduating students of all three colleges were also present.

The convocation was held collectively by the FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, the FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences and the Saida Waheed FMH College of Nursing, under the umbrella of the School of Health Sciences, Fatima Memorial System. The School hopes to promote the unity and a sense of kinship through these activities among the human health resource students of its institutions.
