Man dies in road accident

GUJRANWALA: A man died and two injured in a collision between a truck and motorcycle at Awan Chowk.

Abid Ali and his friends were travelling on a motorcycle when a speeding truck ran them over. Abid died on the spot while his two wounded friends were rushed to DHQ Hospital.

Arrested: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested three human traffickers, including a proclaimed offender on Saturday.

Sub-inspector Javed Ghumman raided Ahmed Nagar and arrested proclaimed offender Abid Hussain Shah while land route agents Shahid Mehmood and Dilawar Hussain were arrested from Kotali Maqbra and Kot Shera.

Electrocuted: A man was electrocuted while switching on a pedestal fan in Kamonke. Hidayat Masih received a severe shock and died on the spot.

Dowry woes: A woman was allegedly tortured by her husband and mother-in-law over dowry in Rajkot.

Talking to reporters at DHQ Hospital, Saba said that she wed Ali Raza two years ago. She added her husband and mother-in-law often abused her for not bringing dowry. She alleged that her husband and his mother tortured her brutally and pushed her out of the home.
