Government allocates over Rs 18bn for CADD

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has earmarked Rs 18.297 billion for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) for the next fiscal year 2016-17 which is Rs 430 million more than the allocation of current fiscal year.

A sum of Rs 11.152 billion has been earmarked for the expenditures regarding pay and allowances of the employees. Out of this allocation Capital Development Authority (CDA) would get Rs 380.178 million. For the maintenance and renovation of the parliament house Rs 290.569 million have been allocated. Similarly for the Aiwan-i-Sadar (Presidency) Rs 280.956 million are reserved. Some Rs 280.704 million would be allotted for the wear and tear work of parliament lodges. Similarly for the repair of the Cabinet Block Rs 117.566 million would be allocated for the next financial year, whereas National Monument would get its chunk of Rs 2.197 billion in the next fiscal year. For awarding scholarships to the topper students Rs 490.17 million are allocated, which are Rs 220 million more than the current financial year.

In the health sector Federal Government Services Hospital (Polyclinic) Islamabad would get Rs 1.939 billion. Likewise Rs 130.841 million are earmarked for the dispensaries at Parliament House and government houses. Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) would take Rs 2.442 billion, About Rs 580 million for Children’s Hospital, Rs 300 million for Mother and Child Healthcare Center, Burn Center would get Rs 120.23 million, Rs 730 million has been earmarked for the College of Nursing and Rs 250.86 million for National Institute for Rehabilitation during the next financial year. Rs 6.728 billion have been allocated for District Population Welfare Office. Primary Education would get its share of Rs 1.82 billion, Rs 390.49 million will be allocated for Secondary Education (Middle) and secondary education (up to Intermediate) would get Rs 2.10 billion for the next fiscal year. For the construction of Islamabad Model College for Girls Mehra Nahal and F.G. Boys College H-9 Rs 10.96 million would be reserved in 2016-17.
