JHANG: Heatstroke has killed two men in Jhang. According to the details, a shopkeeper Arshad, a resident of village Waryam Wala, died at his shop due to heart attack during extreme heat.
In another incident, a bank employee Nawaz Johar while returning to his home on his motorbike fell unconscious and died before receiving first aid. Extreme heat hit the entire district, forcing citizens to stay in their homes. The markets wore a deserted look and traffic disappeared from roads. To face the heatstroke, the district health administration of Jhang has imposed an emergency in all hospitals of the district. The doctors have advised the citizens to cover their head and neck while walking outdoors. “The heat spell can continue for three more days, after that there are possibilities of rain”, said the met department.
