14 schools may lose registration in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The Directorate of Education Rawalpindi has recommended the provincial government to cancel registration of 14 private schools for violating the order regarding summer vacations.

Sources in the education directorate said that 14 private educational institutions in Rawalpindi flouted the provincial government’s announcement regarding summer vacations and continued to function in the first week of June.

According to the sources, the Directorate of Education Rawalpindi has sent a report to the Punjab government stating that 14 private educational institutions of Rawalpindi refused to comply with orders regarding summer vacations despite several reminders issued to them. The Punjab education secretary has been asked to cancel registration of the schools including Educators, SLS, Siddique Public School and others.
