Newspaper hawker and wife killed in Jacobabad

JACOBABAD: A couple was shot dead by unidentified armed men at Railway Colony in the limits of Saddar Police Station, in Jacobabad. SHO Saddar Police Station, Imtiaz Thebo said police has yet to find the reason behind the incident. He said that armed men stormed into the house of Faiz Muhammad Jamali, age around 40, a newspaper hawker and opened fire on him when his wife identified as Amina, of 35, resisted and as a result both husband and wife were killed on the spot, whereas, armed assailants fled the scene of the crime. Following on the information, area police rushed to the scene and moved the bodies to Civil Hospital Jacobabad and after examinations handed over the bodies to their family. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained till this evening, SHO said. An FIR was not registered.
