ISLAMABAD: After being called out names by Khawaja Asif, PTI’s central leader Shireen Mazari demands an in house apology from Khawaja Asif.

Mazari has submitted a privilege motion to Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq that she seeks an apology from Khawaja Asif for calling her ‘tractor trolley’ during NA session.

“I wish to submit a privilege motion pertaining to the breach of my privilege as a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) when Khawaja Asif used unparliamentarily and personalized abuse in the course of his speech during the budget session on 8 June 2016,” Shireen stated in the letter to Speaker.

She said: “His personalized attack on my person was unacceptable and his refusal to apologize further showed his deliberate intent to abuse a women parliamentarian by attack her person.”

“I request action be taken against this personal abuse and name-calling by Khawaja Asif. Simply expunging the record is not enough and an apology on the floor of the House is essential,” Mazari added.

Speaker has forwarded Mazari’s letter to Khawaja Asif and told her that he will inform her when he receives a reply from Khawaja Asif regarding the letter.
