ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, has taken a suo moto notice of the mismanagement in the refund amount of the tickets of Pakistan International Airways (PIA) returned to the passengers by the employees. It is reported that the amount refunded to passengers travelling via PIA during the strike by the institution’s employees against privatisation, was insufficient. A number of flights were cancelled when the strike was held. CJP has issued a notice to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in this regards and has demanded a report on the matter. A three-member bench led by CJ Anwar Zaheer will hear the case on June 16.
