The government had set the revenue collection target of Rs 3,104 billion for the financial year 2015-16 and the year is going to close just after 18 days.

According to the sources, the FBR has collected Rs 2,717 billion revenue so far. Now, it is issuing notices to 50 to 60 non-taxpayers on a daily basis to achieve the target. Last year, the FBR could not achieve the revenue collection target of Rs 2,588 billion although it revised the target thrice. However, the government increased the revenue collection target for the fiscal year 2015-16 by 20 per cent.
