Trader shot dead in Rs 3.7m robbery

KARAK: Robbers shot dead a trader in the Amberi Killay area and took away Rs 3.7 million, police sources said on Monday.

Police said that cooking oil trader Ajab Khan was on his way to the bank to deposit money when the robbers stopped him. They opened fire at him when he put up resistance. According to the police, Khan was injured seriously and was rushed to a local hospital. He was referred to a hospital in Peshawar due to his critical condition and he succumbed to his wounds on way to the hospital. Police have started a search operation to hunt down the robbers.
