Over 77 percent of girls pass Mardan board exams

MARDAN: Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education Mardan has announced the annual results for 2016 here on Wednesday. Sara Khizer of Noor Education System Khweshgi, Nowshera secured top position among the science students by bagging 1041 marks out of 1100. The second slot was grabbed by Afarnesh Sheraz of Marghuz Swabi with 1039 marks, followed by Yasin of Katlang with 1035. In the Arts group, Muhamamd Ziaul Islam of Zarobi, Swabi secured 940 marks to achieve the top position. Second position went to Presentation Convent High School Nowshera’s Ruba Khan. She secured 906 marks, followed by Centre For Speech and Hearing Mardan candidate Noor Muhammad with 891 marks. A total of 60,606 students appeared in the exams for 10th grade. The success percentage remained a promising 77.29 per cent as 46842 students appeared successful. Similarly, 65678 students appeared in exams for 9th grade out of which 36316 students were successful. The success percentage remained at 55.29 per cent. Institution wise, the Peshawar Model School Mardan secured top position with Kernal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi, Presentation Convent School Risalpur and The Peace Model School Nowshera following in its wake.
