SUKKUR: Deputy inspector general (DIG) Sukkur zone Syed Feroze Ali Shah has directed all the SSPs of his division to make fool proof security arrangements for Youm-e-Ali processions in their respective districts. Presiding over a meeting at his office on Friday, DIG directed to chalk out a special plan to provide security to the programmes, majalis, and processions to be organised in different areas of the city in connection with Youm-e-Ali (RA). He said that special deployment of police and surveillance of the route of the main procession and monitoring of the procession through Command and Control Surveillance System must be ensured. He also directed the SSPs to enhance snap checking so as to make security arrangements at the mosques and Imambargahs as people are staying there for “Aitkaf”.
