Faithful offer Friday prayers under tight security

LAHORE: Lahoris offered Friday prayers under tight security as city police beefed up security arrangements to avoid any untoward situation during Ramazan.

Police also arrested several suspects and hardened criminals during search and combing operations on late Thursday night across the city. More than seven thousands police officials performed security duties outside the mosques as well other important places.

Police pickets were also set up in sensitive areas

A senior police officer told Daily Times that a high profile meeting of senior police officers was held to chalk out a security plan to maintain law and order in the city.
