ISLAMABAD: Golra Police have jeopardized the peace and security of Banni Gala area by allowing two rival groups involved in an armed clash to move freely rather than sending them behind bars. A clash took place on Friday over the parking of a motor cycle by one Wasif Khan at Farooqia Mosque located in the area of Banni Gala police. The sons of one Raja Barkhurdar prevented Wasif Khan from bringing the motorcycle to the mosque and asked him to park his motorcycle in a parking area outside the mosque. This lead to heated arguments between them and they resorted to wrangling and thrashing each other . The other people also joined the clash but the residents of the area brought the two groups to reconciliation and the matter was hushed up temporarily. In the evening, Wasif Khan along with his aides came up to the house of Raja Barkhurdar. They were just engaged in talks with each other when one among the associates of Wasif Khan pelted stones on the vehicles standing outside the house of Raja Barkhurdar. His other associates also joined the stone pelting. In retaliation firing started from the house of Raja Barkhurdar which left one person injured. This triggered an armed clash and the police was called on the occasion. Both the groups registered cases against each other at the Bani Gala Police Station. Wasif Khan and his associates were of the view that they had come there with a jirga for a settlement of the dispute but they were fired upon. On the other hand Raja Barkhurdar and his associates said that they also wanted to go for a compromise and settlement but Wasif Khan and his aides first of all pelted stones at the vehicles and tried to kill them which led to the occurrence of the clash. Then the two groups registered cases against each other. However the police have not arrested any nominated person in the case and the accused are moving freely in the area charged with revengeful sentiments. DSP Arif Hussain Shah said that cases had been registered and both the groups had been made bound not to go for any clash again.
