LARKANA: The 63rd anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being observed on 21st today (Tuesday) here at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and other parts of the country.

This was disclosed by the Provincial Home Minister Sohail Anwer Siyal while speaking to local media on Monday. The birthday will be celebrated at Central Peoples Secretariat Karachi, where a cake will be cut and celebrations organized. Party leaders and Ministers in Larkana will attend the event at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto to pay tributes and offer Fateha at the Mazar of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal said that the law and order situation in Sindh was much better now and incidents of kidnapping were very low. He said the Karachi operation terrorists, target killers, and extortionists would continue. Speaking at certificates distribution ceremony in Larkana under Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Program (BBSYDP), the Home Minister claimed that Karachi operation has yielded positive results and the law and order situation in the rest of the province had been improved. Security had been beefed in Sindh during the holy month of Ramazan.

To a question about the changing of his portfolio, he said that he had been listening to rumours about his post for three months, but the rumours proved baseless.

Replying to a query regarding the protest of media and barring the journalists from coverage in Sindh Assembly session, he said that after an incident happened in the assembly, the Speaker had tightened the security arrangements to ensure such transgressions did not occur again.
