Utility stores further reduce prices of subsidised items

ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has further reduce prices of the already subsidized items under its Ramazan Package.

According to details the price of utility ghee has been reduced by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 112 per kg while utility oil price has also been reduced from Rs 125 to Rs 120 per liter. Whereas prices of soft drinks (1.5 liter) have also been reduced by Rs 2 to Rs 65.

Similarly prices of cooking oil and ghee of various brands have also been cut by Rs 5 to Rs 8 per liter. Earlier the Government had announced Rs 1.75 billion Ramazan package under which 22 items of daily use were being provided to the people on subsidized rates during the holy month of Ramazan at all outlets of the USC across the country.

The items included wheat flour, cooking oil, Ghee,sugar, pulses, gram, gram flour, dates, rice, beverages, tea, syrups, etc.
