Parliamentarians from Khyber failed to deliver, claims AWLP leader

Parliamentarians elected from district Khyber have so far failed to solve the issues of the people, besides the merging tribesmen are still deprived of their basic rights.

These view were expressed by the district Khyber chief of Awami Muslim League Party(AWLP) Kashef Afridi while talking in the “Meet the Press” program here in Landi Kotal press club on Friday.

He said that for the interest of the local tribesmen, he had joined the AWLP and vowed to utilize all forums to resolve problems of his tribesmen.

The incumbent government negated provision of 3% share in National Finance Commission (NFC) to the merged tribal districts that would further keep the dwellers of the area underdeveloped, he remarked.

Criticizing the role of the parliamentarians, he urged the locals to make their representatives accountable for their zero percent performance, since no development scheme had been launched in the area.

Flanked by his cabinet members, Kashef Afridi demanded the construction of a road to Tirah Valley, revival of Khyber railway track in addition with provision of gas to the district.
