ISLAMABAD: The new wave of terrorism on the arrival of Eidul Fitr has caused panic among the important political and social personalities throughout the country.
After the murder of the Qawali maestro Amjad Sabri, many important personalities of the country have decided to give applications to the Ministry of Interior for provision of security to them.
The secret agencies have already forwarded a report to the interior ministry before Ramadan that some important personalities might be made targets in Karachi, Lahore Quetta and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The sources told Daily Times that the leader of the ANP Senator Shahi Syed has requested the interior ministry that the law and order situation had begun to worsen at Karachi once again so he needed extraordinary security.
On the other hand some political personalises and even actors from Lahore have sought security from the interior ministry .
The ministry of Interior had issued a security alert some two weeks ago in which provincial governments were informed about the security of important persons and places including offices. But the provinces did not take any action on it. In the federal capital the security was beefed up .
After the kidnapping of Sindh High Court Chief Justice’s son and martyrdom of Amjad Sabri the country is exposed to another wave of terrorism . Now the interior ministry has issued another security alert to the provinces and directed the law enforcement agencies that terrorism may be tackled with the help of close circuit TV cameras.
The Sindh government on the instructions of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has decided to increase the security of important personalities including renowned doctors , engineers and lawyers .
