Afghan refugee’s ears chopped off

SWABI: The ears of an Afghan refugee were chopped off here on Friday to avenge the alleged harassment of a woman in far-flung Parmuli village, police said. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Parmuli Police Station and the news spread like wildfire. The police said that the injured Lal Khan had allegedly assaulted the wife of one Zahir Khan. She informed her husband about the incident and it led to a clash. Lal Khan registered a case against the accused, including Zahir Khan, Abbas Khan, Umar Khan, Zaman Khan, Taj Malik, Amin Khan, Ali Gul, Daulat Khan and others. Both the victim and the accused have dwelled in Parmuli village for years. The police registered an FIR and started investigation.
