Seven projects worth Rs 1.23bn approved in KP

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Muhammad Azam Khan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Additional Chief Secretary on 24 June, 2016. The meeting was attended by its members and respective administrative Secretaries. The forum considered 7 projects pertaining to different sectors including Local Government, Multi-Sector Development and Water Purification. The forum approved 7 Projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.23 billion.

In the Relief & Rehabilitation Sector, the only approved project was “Establishment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) in District Nowshehra”.

In the local government sector, approved projects were “Special Initiative Programmes for PK-30 District Mardan, Purchase Acquisition of Land for Graveyard at Nowshera Kallan, Khasra No. 5847 (12 Kanal).

In Multi Sector Development, the approved project was “Project Road No. 32307-IV-C Molia to Pattan via Namal (District Abbottabad) Length 2.75 KM M/S Jan Construction Co vs Govt. of KPK through Secretary, C&W Peshawar and other”. In the Water Sector, the only approved project was “Chashma Right Bank Canal lift cum gravity project, D.I Khan, Detailed Design and Construction of Pehur High Level Canal Extension District Swabi.(Detailed Design Component).” In the Health Sector, the only approved project was “Social Health Protection Initiative (Phase-II), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
