MINGORA: A government-run school’s building in Toha, area of Charbagh tehsil, in Swat caught fire on Saturday due to short circuit. However, no loss of life was reported, police said.
According to police, the cause of the incident was short circuit due to which fire was erupted, while residents of the area are sceptic of the preliminary police investigation due to 500 schools torched by the militants of banned Tekreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The official sources said the fire completely destroyed the building along with records, furniture and laboratory equipments before rescue service could be called in.
Meanwhile, a tailoring shop also caught fire in Nangolai, area of Kabul tehsil due to the same reason as of the school in Swat.
