Zahid Khan, a peace activist, also addressed the participants and said, women police had been in dire need of making their skills master at the modern-day weapons and thanks to the Swat police high-ups for getting them trained. ” it is a step worth appreciation by the district police officials.” Zahid Khan hailed. Shehnaz Begum, a woman police constable, said while receiving her certificate that she was happy to get trained and was desperate to make good use of her training skills in cutting the evils from the bud. Shehnaz said she joined the Swat Police in the days of mayhem in 2008 when the police force was being attacked by the fighters of Tehrek e Taliban (TTP). ” I joined the police force in a time when the male police officials had been resigning and no one was coming to fill their vacant position in the department,” Shehnaz reminds, she added now she was happy and had firm resolve to carry out her duties with power and zeal.
