Ban tobacco

Author: Daily Times

Sir: In Pakistan countless people are losing their precious lives on a regular basis in the hands of tobacco and smoking while millions of people have respiratory disease, mostly due to smoking and using tobacco.

According to a news report at least 100,000 people die annually due to tobacco and smoking.

I wish to clear that the electronic cigarette is causing cardiovascular and respiratory problems. Because these cigarettes carry harmful chemicals, which are toxic to humans and can cause health issues as well as nicotine increases the risk of heart diseases.

It is our humbly request to government and concern authorities to take a serious step to totally ban the manufacture and import of cigarettes and tobacco.
