QUETTA: The station house officer (SHO) of the Shalkot Police Station narrowly escaped death in the Hazarganji area of the city, as four persons, including three policemen, were killed in two drive-by shooting incidents in the Balochistan capital on Tuesday.
According to the police, the driver and security guard of SHO Javaid Buzdar were killed when unidentified men opened fire on their vehicle. However, Buzdar remained unhurt in the incident. In another drive-by shooting incident, two policemen were killed on Sariab Road.
Police said that gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on a car, killing two policemen.
The dead, whose bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations, had been deployed for district coordination officer’s security.
