Holland, Germany refuse visas to Pakistan junior hockey team

ISLAMABAD: Holland and Germany have refused to issue visas to the Pakistani Junior Hockey team.

Sources said that the visa applications were rejected because of the delay in their submission. The Hockey Federation of Pakistan was supposed to submit the visa application in April, but they were submitted in June.

A private news channel reported that the German embassy wanted to interview each player individually for visa applications. However the negligence of the federation delayed the submission of the applications.

This means that due to the time constraints and approaching Eid holidays, Pakistan’s Junior Hockey Team now has to postpone its Euro Trip. The team was scheduled to play a four-nation tournament from July 16, in Europe.
