PESHAWAR: A Peshawar High Court bench on Monday summoned director general Agricultural Research Centre of Agriculture University Peshawar to appear before the court in a contempt of court case. The bench comprised Justice Nisar Hussain and Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth. It was said that petitioners were recruited on contractual basis some 25 years ago after which they filed a petition in PHC in 2006 for regularisation of their services.
He stated that PHC in 2015 allowed the petition and ordered regularisation after 10 years of litigation, and the director general was a hurdle in way of their regualrisation who claimed there were no vacant posts. Javed also produced a list of vacant seats before the bench after which a notice was issued to the DG, ordering him to appear before the court in person on July 21.
