Flood warning issued as water rises at Sukkur Barrage

SUKKUR: The chief engineer Sukkur Barrage has directed officers on Monday to remain high alert as flow of water at the barrage has started increasing. The liaison officer and flood emergency officers are said strictly that they have to check flow of water at the barrage daily so as to avert upcoming flood situation. The data gathered from the department shows that flow of water at the barrage was recorded 52360 cusecs; but it could cross 200,000 cusecs in couple of days.
