UN asked to sort out Kashmir issue according to its resolutions

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of the United Jihad Council (UJC),Syed Salahuddin, has demanded of the United Nations Organisation (UNO) to sort out the Kashmir issue according to its resolutions. The leadership of the United Jihad Council and the Liberation Council held a protest rally and sit in on Tuesday in front of the United Nations office in Islamabad.

The protest was launched after the martyrdom of Kashmiris in the firing carried out by the Indian army. The Kashmiris were protesting against the martyrdom of Burhan Wani. The chairman said if the United Nations Organisation could not play its part in resolving the Kashmir issue then the only option left for the Kashmiris was the armed struggle.

Salahuddin said that the Pakistani leadership, the government and the opposition could forget the differences and stand up with the people of Kashmir so that the freedom movement could enter into a decisive step.

He said after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani the Indian army could face millions of Burhans and their struggle could continue until the last Indian soldier was in Kashmir.

On the occasion the chairman of the United Jihad Council and the Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin, All Parties Liberation Counsel convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi , Liberation Front Leader Mir Tahir Masood , Moulana Ghulam Nabi Nosheri , Farooq Rehmani , Yousaf Naseen and others were also present. The leadership submitted a memorandum in the United Nations office and participated in a funeral prayer of all the people who were martyred in Kashmir.

While addressing the protesters’ rally Syed Salahuddin said: “We are here to draw the attention of the world towards the situation of the Kashmiris”. Salahuddin said after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani the people of Kashimir were protesting against India. He said the unarmed people of Kashmir were fighting against eight million armed forces of India.

He said, “We were fighting for the last seven decades and the international community should take this referendum seriously”. He said the Jihadi leadership came to the United Nations office for the first time with the liberation council leadership “so that we could tell the world that Kashmiris were peace ful people”.
