JKAAC resolves to carry forward the mission of Kashmiri martyrs

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (JKAAC) paid tributes to the July 13 martyrs of 1931, Burhan Muzaffar Wani and other martyrs of Kashmir, and reasserted their resolve to take the martyrs’ mission to its logical conclusion.

According to a press release issued, AAC said that the foundation for Kashmir’s resistance movement was laid on July 13, 1931, and, hence, the AAC founder, Shaheed-e-Millat, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq used to observe this day with utmost respect for the martyrs by paying tributes to them. Likewise, this year, the united resistance leadership of Kashmir also decided to observe the day with unity.

According to the AAC statement, AAC President and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz, Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, would lead a procession from Jamia Masjid Srinagar after the Dhuhr (afternoon) prayers to the Martyrs Graveyard at Naqshband Sahab shrine at Khawaja Bazaar.

It was also noted that many resistance leaders, including the veteran resistance leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik among others, would lead the procession from the already decided locations to the Martyrs Graveyard at Naqshband Sahab, where special Fateh Khawani prayers would be offered for the July 13, 1931 martyrs and all other martyrs of Jammu Kashmir besides paying glowing tributes to them. The leadership would also resolve to take the mission of these martyrs to its logical conclusion, it was said.
