KARACHI: Following the meeting of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah with DG Rangers and Sindh inspector general of police (IGP), a comprehensive enquiry is initiated into forced rescue of Asad Kharal in Larkana against the police and influential people, Daily Times has learnt. Sindh IGP AD Khawaja has ordered record of the statement of Babu Sarwer Siyal into abduction of Awais Shah. According to the sources, Sindh Rangers Director General Bilal Akbar, has demanded for custody of the suspects, Assad Kharal and Tariq Siyal, for further investigations into heavy corruption and other criminal activities. Sources said that DG Rangers has expressed annoyance over police department and influence of a provincial minister for escaping the suspect and asked to hand over Kharal and Tariq Siyal to Rangers custody for complete investigation. Sindh IGP A D Khawaja has ordered to record of statement of PML-Q’s Babu Sarwer Siyal, who is a rival of Home Minister Sohail Siyal, disclosed the kidnapping of the son of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Syed Sajad Ali Shah in a press conference on Friday. According to sources, Babu Sarwar has reportedly refused to record any statement. It is learnt that Sindh IGP has also initiated enquiries against SSP Larkana and other police officials as well as influential people for helping Assad Kharal in setting him free. The Larkana Police has registered an FIR against seven close aides of Asad Kharal including Abid Bohgio, Manzoor Mangan, Mansoor Abbasi and others. Later, Rangers personnel in Larkana have cordoned off the roads around the house of Sindh home minister and have started checking.
