Slots of several top police officials vacant

ISLAMABAD: Despite the increasing threats of terror attacks in the federal capital , the top officials of the police have left the city shelterless and the absence of high officials has raised a question mark on the security of the city. Despite threats of terror attacks in the city, the in charge Special Branch has left for foreign tours while the slot of the DIG Security is lying vacant since long. Besides this the SP Special Branch, Shiekh Zubair Ahmed, were deputed on the seat since long and knew the matters of security. SP Liaqat Niazi has been deputed on this post while removing Sheikh Zubair Ahmed. This post would be a new experience for Liaqat Niazi. It is a matter of great importance that the IG Islamabad, Tariq Masood Yasin, who is the head of the police department, is not ready to take all matters seriously. Due to political pressure, neither the IG Islamabad has transferred any police official nor depute him due to which the absence of police officials on important slots has increased security threats in the city.
