An 80 year-old man was shot dead at a bus stop in Peshawar, in what is being called a religiously motivated attack.
Mahboob Ahmad Khan, a member of Ahmadiyya community, was waiting at the bus stop after visiting his daughter in the Sheikh Mohammadi area, when unknown assailants attacked him at close range, killing him on the spot.
Mahboob’s brother has filed a murder case against unidentified attackers. The complainant stated that his brother did not have enmity with anyone.
According to the spokesperson of Ahmadiyya community, Mahboob Ahmad was assassinated in a hate campaign against the minority group. He informed that this was the fourth Ahmadi murder in Peshawar in the past four months.
