PESHAWAR: The return process of the affectees of Operation Rah-e-Nijat in South Wazirsitan Agency (SWA) has been started as a caravan of 373 families in 142 vehicles, reached their native areas, under security arrangements of Pakistan Army. According to political administration, the return process of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) of South Waziristan Agency, which was started on July 20, would continue till October 15 this year. Sources said that a caravan of 373 families of TDPs, on the first day, in 142 vehicles was being monitored by South Waziristan Agency Political Agent Zafar Islam Khattak and Pakistan Army’s Colonel Imran from IDP camp in Khargi. The political agent and Col Imran presented garlands to families of TDPs and congratulated them upon their return to their respective native areas in South Waziristan. The TDPs including Rehmatullah Mehsud, Gul Badshah and others said that they are very pleased to return to their areas after nine years and vowed to utilise all their energies and resources in rebuilding of their houses and areas much better than before. The TDPs thanked Pakistan Army for flushing out militants and establishing durable peace in their areas.
