Shop Keepers fined for violating COVID-19 SOPs

Several shopkeepers were Thursday fined for violating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) devised to control the outburst of COVID-19.

Following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Tank Kabir Afridi, Assistant Commissioner Shoukat Iqbal raided different markets and shopping malls of the city to inspect the compliance of set SOPs.

Owners of several shops and fruit carts were fined for violating set SOPs and poor hygiene conditions at their shops.
The Assistant Commissioner warned the businessmen of stern action if they were found violating SOPs in future.
