Rains kill 46 people in Ursoon

ISLAMABAD: At least 46 people died and 26 injured due to heavy rains and ensuing flashflood in Ursoon village in Drosh tehsil of Chitral district. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), around 79 houses were partially damaged, while 24 were completely destroyed. Final assessment is in progress by the respective district administrations. The NDMA had distributed 900 tents, 1,650 blankets, 600 plastics mats, 100 kitchen sets and 43 tonnes of flour among the victims.
