Islamabad: Not only does the Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES) help security agencies track their progress, it also significantly facilitates them in both decisions making as well as establishing links between the past, present and future schemes. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, NAB Chairman, recently remarked. He sais this while chairing a meeting to review the latest progress on NAB’s MES at NAB Headquarters here on Friday, further adding that in the past, MES had been established to track implementation and outputs systematically.

However, he also believed the system to form the basis for an extensive modification of interventions as well as assessment of the quality of activities being conducted by the agency. It was also said that MES holds significant importance for the NAB to create a measurable impact on expected outcomes and effective implementations.

He also remarked that the system will help identify the most valuable and efficient use of resources.

The system provides the agency with all the necessary data for ascertaining strategic planning and also helps with improving its performance and achieving results to improve both current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact. “NAB is, hence, committed to performing its national duty with absolute professionalism, transparently and on merit for a corruption free Pakistan and all regional bureaus of NAB to conduct complaint verification, inquiries and investigation as per laid down laws/SOPs,” he added.
