Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan removed as Punjab Information Minister, Firdous appointed Special Assistant to CM

LAHORE: The Punjab government on Monday removed Fayyazul Hassan Chohan as provincial information minister.

Meanwhile, Firdous Ashiq Awan, who previously served as the special assistant to the prime minister on information and broadcasting, has been appointed as special assistant on information to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

According to details, Fayyaz Chohan has been removed as the Punjab government’s information minister.

Chohan will remain the minister for colonies while Punjab’s information department will also be headed by Awan.

Two other ministers Mehar Muhammad Aslam and Zawar Hussain Warraich have also been removed from their posts along with Chochan.

Mehar Muhammad Aslam was the minister for cooperatives and Zawar Hussain Warraich was the minister for prisons.
