ISLAMABAD: Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has sent back officers on deputation to their parent departments on the basis of personal like and dislike.

In the hospitals that are functioning under CADD, including PIMS and Polyclinic Hospital, some 55 officers, including executive directors, directors, deputy directors and assistant directors, are working on deputation. Sources said that when the Supreme Court ordered repatriation of officers on deputation to their original departments, CADD only sent Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Administrator Dr Fazal Maula back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa despite the fact that his services were regularised in the division, while the remaining officers working on deputation in both the hospitals were not touched, as they had support of some political figures. Those officers who are still working on deputation and whose services were not merged in PIMS and Poly-clinic Hospital are Director Children Hospital PIMS Dr Amjad Mehmood, Additional Director PIMS Dr Aisha Esani, Dr Mutahir Shah, Dr Nasreen Butt, Dr Tayyaba, Dr Muhammad Naseer, Dr Arif Khan, Dr Asfandyar, Dr Ijaz Qadeer, Dr Inayatullah along with other 40 officials on deputation in PIMS despite the orders of Supreme Court.

Whereas, in Polyclinic Hospital Assistant Executive Director Dr Murtaza Solangi, Dr Amanat Solangi, Civil Surgeon Dr Masood Ghani, Incharge Dispensary of Parliament Lodges Dr Umar Najam, Dr Parveen Ibrar and other 15 officials are still working on the deputation and have not been sent back to their original offices.

When contacted, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr Javed Ikram told Daily Times that almost 45 officers and doctors are working on deputation in PIMS and legal consultation is underway to send them back to their parent departments.

Polyclinic Hospital Acting Executive Director Dr Iftikhar Naro told this reporter that more than 15 officers are working in the hospital on deputation. But sending them back to their parent departments is beyond his authority, he maintained.
