Lahore: An agreement signing ceremony was held on Friday between The Bank of Punjab (BoP) and Pakistan Post at the Bank of Punjab Head Office, Lahore.
Mr. Naeemuddin Khan, President, the Bank of Punjab, and Mr. Fakir Syed Shaharyaruddin, Director General, Pakistan Post along with other high-ranking officials of both organizations participated in the ceremony. As per details, the two organizations have synergized their strengths and expertise by entering into two different agreements – distribution of funds & disbursement of Home Remittances. Combined together, their vast networks will become able to disburse funds to remote beneficiaries in the most convenient manner. Similarly, general public will benefit by receiving remittances under “Pakistan Remittance Initiative” (PRI) in far-flung areas of the country. This initiative is aimed at enhancing financial inclusion in line with strategic goals of the State Bank of Pakistan.
