PDM not an electoral alliance: Fazl

Author: Our Correspondent

President of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and JUI-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said the PDM is a movement where every party has its own constitution and during the election, everyone will be free to toe its stance.

He said young men are being subjected to enforced disappearances from across the country, including Sindh, in presence of the constitution and the courts. He said if there is any traitor then he should be produced before the court for punishment. He said relatives of the missing persons are constantly weeping for their loved ones and protesting for their recovery.

He was addressing media persons at Jamia Islamia Ishatul Quran Walhadeez here Thursday.

Fazl said the PTI was neither a Tehreek nor Insaaf. He said that proclaimed offenders are brought to register a fake case against PDM leaders Maryam Nawaz and Capt (R) Safdar. He said those who played the game were now conducting the inquiry. The government was undemocratic and unelected and there was no rule of law, he added. He said the entire nation will have to come on a single page because PDM is fighting the war of the nation’s rights.

He said every person has been affected by the massive price-hike. Maulana said that they have fought against martial laws throughout their life and the prevailing situation is not much to bear NAB. He said those who are issuing threats by keeping their hand through their beard should first see the Karachi situation who is responsible for that. He said we will not accept the superiority of hidden forces. In reply to a question, he said we will not give NRO to the government.
