ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to file a reference against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and stage a protest demonstration outside the bureau office today (Monday). The government, on the other hand, has decided to prevent the PTI from staging a protest as police have blocked all roads leading towards the NAB’s office. The city administration has called additional police force to guard red zone and deal with protesters. The Islamabad district administration has also issued a substitute route for the traffic as well as dwellers of the red zone. PTI’s spokesman Naeemul Haq said that the government would be held responsible if it would make an effort to stop peaceful demonstration. Earlier, the NAB closed down a 15-year-old reference against Ishaq Dar and gave clean chit to the finance minister. The investigation was pending since 2001 in NAB against the finance minister who was allegedly involved in hefty corruption of Rs 130 billion.
