Grand Health Alliance (GHA) activists continued the boycott of work at Outpatients Departments at the Chandka Medical College Hospital for the ninth consecutive day here on Wednesday due to which thousands of poor patients suffered.
The GHA took out a rally from Central Laboratory to main OPD at Civil Hospital Block of the CMCH, shouted slogans in favour of their demands and held a sit-in. Zamir Sangi, president of the Paramedical Staff Association, Munwar Ali Mangi, general secretary, Ghulam Hussain Langah, Abdul Jabbar Narejo and others urged provincial health minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho and health secretary to restore risk allowance, service structure and withdrawal of the recovery letter or they will spread their struggle across the province for which the Sindh government will be responsible.
Due to strike by the paramedics all those thousands of OPD patients suffered very seriously who had reached here travelling from far flung remote areas of several districts to get specialized medical treatment to save their precious lives and they returned back to their areas without getting any treatment cursing the agitators.
